Joby Brings 1st Electric Air Taxi Charger to SoCal

Clay Lacy Boosts Development in AAM Sphere Joby Aviation has announced a definitive agreement with Southern California local Clay Lacy Aviation to install the area’s first electric air taxi charger at John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Orange County, CA. Joby’s own in-house Global Electric Aviation Charging System (GEACS) will be included as part of Clay Lacy’s planned $100 million redevelopment of its FBO terminal, targeted to open in the middle of 2025. The GEACS interface has already been implemented at the relatively close Joby test center in Marina, as well as the Edwards AFB as a part of the AFWERX campaign there.
